One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

El Rapido could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.

El Rapido was in fine shape and held the lead. Håleboo was disturbed and galoped 50 m.

Funky Velvet looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Follow Me couldn't come out from behind the leader, Tamalanac.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Funky Velvet followed by Follow Me and Good Looking Movement. Lane two Tamalanac followed by El Rapido and Pesante Vox. Pesante Vox galloped for 40 m.

With only a little left of the race Pesante Vox galoped for 10 m. Tamalanac looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.

Follow Me kept the speed the whole finish and won before Tamalanac and Funky Velvet.
