One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Pie took the lead after a very quick start.

Pie was in fine shape and held the lead.
Odeur Bizarre looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Shining
Sun couldn't come out from behind the leader, Jolly
Pie.
Odeur Bizarre accelerated after 1500m and took the lead.
Odeur Bizarre kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.

Sun came in second. Odeur Bizarre caught third place.
