One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were
Mendez Trot.
Gold Sunset ended up behind the leader.
Sun Queen got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two.
There were no mayor changes in the field at the 500m mark. A bird flew just in front of
Sun Queen who started to galop and lost 50 m.
Gold Sunset looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that
Vervuld Gulden couldn't come out from behind the leader,
Mendez Trot.
Nothing seemed to be able to stop
Mendez Trot today. It continued in the lead.
Gold Sunset was first on the homestretch followed by
Mendez Trot and
Vervuld Gulden.
Vervuld Gulden made a good sprint on the homestretch and crossed the finishline before
Mendez Trot.
