The weather had been good all week and Riihimäki was in good shape.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Dani Alves Baby took the lead after a very quick start.

This is the positions after 500m. Tough Boy, Tarzan Boy, Pas De Promettre, Gold L´express, The Duke, Gold Lieutenant, Dani Alves Baby, Quick Behemoth.

Gold L´express took the lead after 1000m. The Duke didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.

Gold L´express was still in the lead after 1500m. Tarzan Boy galloped for 30 m. Dove Smooth started to gallop after 1500m and Harri Koivunen had to struggle to get it back in trotting.

Gold L´express was disturbed and galopped for 50 m. Pas De Promettre was first on the homestretch followed by Dani Alves Baby and Gold Lieutenant.
