One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Muscular Energy tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Houston Hof that came steaming ahead. driver couldn't keep Barefoot Breeze to trotting so they were disqualified.

This is the positions after 500m. Light Speed, Vervuld Gulden, Chili Pegasos, Houston Hof, Muscular Energy, Outspoken Box, Barefoot Breeze, .

Vervuld Gulden took the lead after 1000m. Houston Hof didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.

Houston Hof saw a chanche when the tempo dropped and could easilytake the lead.

Light Speed speeded up in the last bend and was first on the homestretch.

Chili Pegasos never caught up with Light Speed who won. Houston Hof came third.
