The sun was shining and the birds was singing on Kaukonen today.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Maija Kemp could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.

This is the positions after 500m. Thunder Beach, Rusé Cauchemar, Markov, Awesome Furious One, Trombone, Maija Kemp, Cool Clown, Kanon.

Awesome Furious One sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead. Champ Of Joy galoped after 1000m and lost 30 m.

Kanon looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m. Full Mag galloped for 50 m.

Thunder Beach was first on the homestretch followed by Kanon and Trombone.

Trombone won the race after a spectacular finish.
