It had been raining for several days at Åby but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.
One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Yatzy! could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.
This is the positions after 500m. Myrtille, Advanced
Tiger, Lancer, Inkognito Mystery, Honourable
Striker, Georgia Sunset, Yatzy!, De Gule Enker.
Georgia Sunset sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead.
Lancer looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m.
Lancer kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.
Carl-Erik Lindblom tried a little too much on the homestretch and Dianthus Superbus started to galopp and lost 10 m.
No-one could catch Lancer today who won before Yatzy! and Thrillville Man.
