The sky was free of clouds and the sun was shining at Åby this day.
One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Bandit Queen took the lead after a very quick start. Stefan Söderkvist wanted a little to much in the start and Lightspeed galoped for 10 m.
There were no mayor changes in the field at the 500m mark.
Penny To Penny sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead.
Amoros Cherry sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead.
Bandit Queen sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
