One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Rocket Launcher took the lead after a very quick start.

Mary quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.

Mary was in great shape so far and looked happy in the lead. Desert Shield galoped after 1000m and lost 20 m.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Mary followed by Rocket Launcher and Helpful Frenzy. Lane two The Price Of A Mile followed by Desert Shield and Lindys Rose.

Mary didn't even look tired after 2000m and sat safely in the lead. Helpful Frenzy gallopped 50 m after 2000m.

Mary sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.

No-one could catch Mary today who won before Rocket Launcher and Desert Shield.
