Only a few clouds could be spotted on the sky this day. Mikkeli track was in top-condition.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were General Diamant. Labyrinth Run ended up behind the leader. Secondly got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two. General Diamant was to tense at the start and galloped for 20 m.

The leader couldn't hold the lead and Joventut sprinted to the front.

Marjons Magpie took the lead after 1000m. Truculent Ted didn't have a good time being caught on the outside. Nightmist galoped after 1000m and lost 50 m.

General Diamant took the lead after 1000m. Killer Weed didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.

Markku Nieminen tried a little too much on the homestretch and Nightmist started to galopp and lost 40 m.

General Diamant didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
