The weather had been good all week and Åby was in good shape.
One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Delightful Joy found a gap and took the lead.

The field stabalized after the bend and the speed was reduced.

Sunray looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that
Mr Sunshine couldn't come out from behind the leader,
Delightful Joy.
Best Fighter was disturbed and galoped 50 m.
