Start List
One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Force De Traction was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead.
Fighting
Night saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead. A bird flew just in front of Sweet Candy who started to galop and lost 40 m.
No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.
Thunder Road accelerated after 1500m and took the lead.
Fidde Boy showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping. Thunder Road were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.
Åke Sundberg tried a little too much on the homestretch and Cantona started to galopp and lost 30 m.
