The weather had been good all week and Sodankylä was in good shape.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Universe Spirit tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Creeping Mind that came steaming ahead.

This is the positions after 500m. Running Runner, Jack Gibraltar, Lone Hero, Franco Solo, Universe Spirit, Leopard Larockma, Tremendous Empire, Pain Redefined.

Franco Solo took the lead after 1000m. Lone Hero didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.

Lone Hero accelerated after 1500m and took the lead. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Exploding Pirate gallopped for 10 m.

Lone Hero sat safely in the lead after 2000m.

Franco Solo suddenly found some strength when the driver removed the earpads and sprinted to the lead.

Running Runner won. Leopard Larockma came in second. Tremendous Empire caught third place.
