One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Sudden Sky sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead. When the startcar left the field Happy Play started to galop and lost 40 m.

Bard quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. Happy Play started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.

Connoisseur took the lead after 1000m. Sudden Sky didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.

Unschlagbar galoped for 60m and was disqualified.

Connoisseur didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
