One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

En Plantet took the lead after a very quick start. Mercedes Balogh wanted a little to much in the start and En Plantet galoped for 30 m.

Clever Sword saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead. A bird flew just in front of Elephants On Parade who started to galop and lost 10 m.

Pure Power took the lead after 1000m. Clever Sword didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.

Clever Sword saw a chanche when the tempo dropped and could easilytake the lead.

Gulden galloped for 60m and was disqualified. Fish Hoek Pinotage litterally flew through the last bend and was first on the homestretch.

Fish Hoek Pinotage kept the speed the whole finish and won before Prince Crown and Mighty Iron.
