One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Plan could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. Moving
Plan was to tense at the start and galloped for 20 m. driver couldn't keep Sally Maclennane to trotting so they were disqualified. Lars Wester wanted a little to much in the start and Valor Todo galoped for 30 m.

Plan was in fine shape and held the lead. A bird flew just in front of
Running Free who started to galop and lost 40 m.
No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.
