One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Bricks Marlin could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. When the startcar left the field Unknown started to galop and lost 40 m. Ari Hartikainen wanted a little to much in the start and Trembling Giggle galoped for 20 m. Lonely Thinker galloped way to long and was disqualified.

This is the positions after 500m. Trembling Giggle, Monkey Star, Arvino, Caesar Tagliante, Vittorioso, Bricks Marlin, Honourable Band, Lower Base. Unknown started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified. A bird flew just in front of Future Galaxy who started to galop and lost 40 m.

Monkey Star took the lead after 1000m. Vittorioso didn't have a good time being caught on the outside. Unknown suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 10 m. Lower Base galoped after 1000m and lost 10 m.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Monkey Star followed by Vittorioso and Arvino. Lane two Bricks Marlin followed by Trembling Giggle and Caesar Tagliante. Unknown galloped for 40 m.

Vittorioso speeded up in the last bend and was first on the homestretch.

Monkey Star won. Vittorioso came in second. Trembling Giggle caught third place.
