One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were
Rhythm Divine.
Gremicha ended up behind the leader.
Make Contact got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two. When the startcar left the field Rhythm Divine started to galop and lost 30 m.
There were no mayor changes in the field at the 500m mark. A bird flew just in front of
Rhythm Divine who started to galop and lost 20 m. A bird flew just in front of
Gremicha who started to galop and lost 10 m.
No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.
Rhythm Divine was still in the lead after 1500m.
Rhythm Divine kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.
