One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Pépé Le Moko could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. Peruvian Walnut was to tense at the start and galloped for 10 m.
Nihilist was looking sharp this day and continued in the lead.
Oklahoma Sugar started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.
Peruvian Walnut looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that
Pépé Le Moko couldn't come out from behind the leader,

Oklahoma Sugar galop.

Kick Shot galopped for 20 m on the homestretch.
Peruvian Walnut never caught up with
Solid
Devil who won.
Nihilist came third.
