One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Strong Cube sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead. Veijo Heiskanen wanted a little to much in the start and Pinocchios Return galoped for 50 m.

Strong Cube was in fine shape and held the lead.

Mind The Step looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Tony Thompson couldn't come out from behind the leader, Strong Cube. Skipping Love was disturbed and galoped 20 m.

Mind The Step accelerated after 1500m and took the lead.

Grande Fierté was disturbed and galopped for 50 m. Mind The Step kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.

Grande Fierté galopped for 40 m on the homestretch.

Mind The Step didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
