One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Kilkenny could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. Jim Frick wanted a little to much in the start and Loving You galoped for 30 m.
The leader couldn't hold the lead and
Loving You sprinted to the front.
Maître-nageur took the lead after 1000m.
Loving You didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.
Kilkenny was disturbed and galoped 50 m.
Leontine took the lead after 1000m.
Maître-nageur didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.
Leontine kept the speed the whole finish and won before
Maître-nageur and
Loving You.
