One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Forest could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.
Bankroller saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead. A bird flew just in front of Fair
Lilac who started to galop and lost 10 m.
Bankroller clinged on to the lead after a 1000m. Pretty Lily galoped after 1000m and lost 10 m.
Faramundo looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m.
With only a little left of the race Jolly Princess galoped for 20 m. Faramundo kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.
