One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Carlos Butcher was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead. Knock Me Down was to tense at the start and galloped for 50 m. Experienced Platinum was to tense at the start and galloped for 30 m.

Bielsa Rebel quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. Carlos Butcher started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified. A bird flew just in front of Clizing who started to galop and lost 20 m.

Knock Me Down sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead.

Knock Me Down was still in the lead after 1500m. Red Dead Rebel started to gallop after 1500m and Tapio Perttunen had to struggle to get it back in trotting.

Knock Me Down was still in the lead after 2000m. Experienced Platinum was disturbed and gallopped for 10 m.

Au Revoir Loosers was first on the homestretch followed by Knock Me Down and Illogic.

Illogic never caught up with Au Revoir Loosers who won. Carlos Butcher came third.
