It had been raining for several days at Arvika but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Seductive Blossom tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Purple Sparrow that came steaming ahead.




The field stabalized after the bend and the speed was reduced.




Purple Sparrow clinged on to the lead after a 1000m.




Nothing seemed to be able to stop Purple Sparrow today. It continued in the lead.




Purple Sparrow was still in the lead after 2000m.



Purple Sparrow kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.






Seductive Blossom won the race after a spectacular finish.
