One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were Strickly Business. New York City ended up behind the leader. Headhunter got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two. Sneaky Rocket was to tense at the start and galloped for 20 m.

Strickly Business was in fine shape and held the lead.

Van Horn sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead.

Van Horn was still in the lead after 1500m. Something caused a disturbance in the field and New York City gallopped for 40 m.

Van Horn sat safely in the lead after 2000m.

Rumbling Admiral was disturbed and galopped for 10 m. Van Horn kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.

Van Horn kept the speed the whole finish and won before Strickly Business and Headhunter.
