The weather had been good all week and Rättvik was in good shape.
One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Tiny Knight was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead.
This is the positions after 500m. Bol Play, Big Asteroid, Émilie, Hawaiian, Morgenstern, Grande Pegasos, Talladega Five, Tiny Knight.
Big Asteroid took the lead after 1000m. Émilie didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.
Émilie saw a chanche when the tempo dropped and could easilytake the lead. Bol Play started to gallop after 1500m and Rikard N Skoglund had to struggle to get it back in trotting.
Émilie looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.
Talladega Five sprinted over the finishline before Émilie and Big Asteroid.
