One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Famous Starlight tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to
Smuk Handling that came steaming ahead. When the startcar left the field Voorkeur Meisje started to galop and lost 50 m.
The leader couldn't hold the lead and
Leprevost sprinted to the front.
Leprevost was in great shape so far and looked happy in the lead.
Famous Starlight looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m.
Famous Starlight were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.
Smuk Handling won.
Famous Starlight came in second.
Leprevost caught third place.
