The sun was shining and the birds was singing on Kalmar today.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Just Star found a gap and took the lead. Pure Thrust followed before Slippery Man.




The field stabalized after the bend and the speed was reduced.




Just Star was in great shape so far and looked happy in the lead.




Pure Thrust accelerated after 1500m and took the lead.



New Trend was disturbed and galopped for 40 m. Pure Thrust were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.

Johan Untersteiner tried a little too much on the homestretch and New Trend started to galopp and lost 50 m.




Pure Thrust didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
