Only a few clouds could be spotted on the sky this day. Gävle track was in top-condition.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Gaat Klaar Gaat was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead. Hans-Owe Sundberg wanted a little to much in the start and Voorkeur Meisje galoped for 20 m.

Great Starlight quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.

The leader got disturbed by something and Guyon took the lead rather easily.

Gaat Klaar Gaat galloped for 60m and was disqualified. The leader got disturbed by something and Guyon took the lead rather easily.

Cherrelle never caught up with Guyon who won. Voorkeur Meisje came third.
