The sky was free of clouds and the sun was shining at Rättvik this day.
One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Helpful Sword was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead. Frozen Thinking was to tense at the start and galloped for 50 m.
This is the positions after 500m. Growing Lion, Rheingau, Duquesne Whistle, Vacherie, The Sad Punk, Liz Lizard, Slippery Pirate, Helpful Sword.
No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.
Rheingau saw a chanche when the tempo dropped and could easilytake the lead.
Rheingau looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.
Slippery Pirate made a good sprint on the homestretch and crossed the finishline before Liz Lizard.
