One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Champagne Bath found a gap and took the lead. Dragon Queen followed before Modest Diamond.

Belinda Love quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. Second Commencer started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.

Modest Diamond looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Blue Intention couldn't come out from behind the leader, Belinda Love.

Champagne Bath looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Jolly Stardust couldn't come out from behind the leader, Modest Diamond.

Preben Kjaersgaard tried a little too much on the homestretch and Dragon Queen started to galopp and lost 20 m. The spectators cheered much on the homestretch and probably caused Weiss Taube galop. Weiss Taube lost 50 m.

Champagne Bath sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
