Only a few clouds could be spotted on the sky this day. Bergsåker track was in top-condition.
One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Petty The Fool could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. When the startcar left the field Unknown started to galop and lost 30 m. Unknown galloped way to long and was disqualified.
The leader couldn't hold the lead and
Seabiscuit sprinted to the front.
Rope-a-dope sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead.
With only a little left of the race
Stargazer galoped for 30 m.
Rope-a-dope sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead.
The spectators cheered much on the homestretch and probably caused
Stargazer galop.
Stargazer lost 50 m.
