One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Perfect Viper could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




Perfect Viper was in fine shape and held the lead.




Running Runaway looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Modestine couldn't come out from behind the leader, Perfect Viper.




Perfect Viper was still in the lead after 1500m.



Running Runaway speeded up in the last bend and was first on the homestretch.






Modestine never caught up with Running Runaway who won. Perfect Viper came third.
