Only a few clouds could be spotted on the sky this day. Gävle track was in top-condition.
One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Sly Night tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Eternal Thinker that came steaming ahead.
The field stabalized after the bend and the speed was reduced.
Eternal Thinker clinged on to the lead after a 1000m.
Nothing seemed to be able to stop Eternal Thinker today. It continued in the lead. Drooling Universe galloped for 10 m.
Eternal Thinker sat safely in the lead after 2000m.
Eternal Thinker sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.
Eternal Thinker never caught up with Carlos Helrör who won. Sly Night came third.
