One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Narkissos Lavec was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead. When the startcar left the field Chuck Opal started to galop and lost 30 m.
The leader couldn't hold the lead and Judging Tiger sprinted to the front. Crossing Heat started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.
Pinstripe´s Don Disco sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead. driver couldn't keep Crossing Heat to trotting so they were disqualified.

Rapide Du Bloc sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
