One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Heureux took the lead after a very quick start.




Sleepy Duchess saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.




Sleepy Duchess clinged on to the lead after a 1000m.




Connemara looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m.



Heureux was disturbed and galopped for 30 m. Beaufort suddenly found some strength when the driver removed the earpads and sprinted to the lead.

driver couldn't keep Heureux to trotting so they were disqualified. Frozen Energy galopped for 50 m on the homestretch.




Beaufort kept the speed the whole finish and won before Connemara and Maria.
