The sky was free of clouds and the sun was shining at Kemijärvi this day.
One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Cute Blossom took the lead after a very quick start. Kari Rosimo wanted a little to much in the start and Cunning Titan galoped for 20 m.
Heavy Speed quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.
Safari Escargot sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead.
