One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Buddy Holly sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead.
The leader couldn't hold the lead and

Map sprinted to the front. A bird flew just in front of
Buddy Holly who started to galop and lost 50 m.

Map was in great shape so far and looked happy in the lead.
