One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Sudden Gold could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.
Stopping Sunray quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.
Joanna Palema took the lead after 1000m.
Stopping Sunray didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.
Fender Bender accelerated after 1500m and took the lead.
Sudden Gold suddenly found some strength when the driver removed the earpads and sprinted to the lead.
Sudden Gold didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
