One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Loving Crusher found a gap and took the lead. Welsh Wizard followed before Kramer Never Knocks Pegasos.

This is the positions after 500m. L'Étoile Mystérieuse, Quist Larockma, Kramer Never Knocks Pegasos, Aggressive Dribbler, Welsh Wizard, Loving Crusher, Frosty Gal, Whispering Electra.

Welsh Wizard sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Welsh Wizard followed by Loving Crusher and Whispering Electra. Lane two L'Étoile Mystérieuse followed by Kramer Never Knocks Pegasos and Frosty Gal. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Quist Larockma gallopped for 10 m.

L'Étoile Mystérieuse suddenly found some strength when the driver removed the earpads and sprinted to the lead.

Kramer Never Knocks Pegasos made a good sprint on the homestretch and crossed the finishline before Loving Crusher.
