The sky was free of clouds and the sun was shining at Rättvik this day.
One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Royal Phantom sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead. Peter M Andersson wanted a little to much in the start and Just Universe galoped for 30 m.
Hand In Pocket quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.
Hand In Pocket was in great shape so far and looked happy in the lead. Vanuit was disturbed and galoped 50 m.
Royal Phantom looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m.
Royal Phantom looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.
Royal Phantom didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
