One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Shooting Band was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead.

The leader couldn't hold the lead and Rootless Tree sprinted to the front. A bird flew just in front of Speedy Plan who started to galop and lost 30 m.

Holiday Credit sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead.

Baroness Nagel saw a chanche when the tempo dropped and could easilytake the lead.

Baroness Nagel was still in the lead after 2000m.

With only a little left of the race Passionate Vanilla galoped for 20 m. Rootless Tree litterally flew through the last bend and was first on the homestretch.

Muscular Hero galoped for 60m and was disqualified.

Baroness Nagel never caught up with Rootless Tree who won. Passionate Vanilla came third.
